On Wednesday 26 March, a group of year 7 and 8 students from Holgate visited Queen Elizabeth’s Academy in Mansfield to meet the award-winning author Simon James Green.
Our students had front-row seats and were an enthusiastic addition to the captivated audience. Simon shared entertaining anecdotes from his teenage years and explained how these inspired his writing. He also included an interactive aspect that required audience participation. Our students were eager volunteers, and several were chosen to take part. At the end of the presentation, they were also lucky enough to engage in an impromptu question-and-answer session.
Our students conducted themselves impeccably throughout the trip and were a credit to themselves. Well done to all who attended.
